Very Important
:  All fees paid online are non-refundable
.  Be sure that you meet all the requirements for the type of application you are submitting before you pay online. 

Instructions for Applying or Renewing Using the Online Application System

The following persons may use the online system to complete the following transactions:

Apply for a New License:   Dentists, Dental Hygienists and those Dental Assistants applying for an RDA Certificate.

Pay the Initial Renewal Fee:  Dentists, Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants completing Step 2 of the licensure/registration process.

Pay the Annual Renewal Fee:  Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Laboratories and Dental Assistants holding an RDA or Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate.


How to Apply or Renew Online
To apply or renew online you must first register for a secure online account with the State of Texas Licensing System Online Application System.  If you have already registered then simply log in to your account using your e-mail address and the password you personally created.

Online account registration is a one-time only process.  You will need a valid e-mail address to register your secure online account, and this e-mail address will become your User ID. 

A temporary password will be sent to the e-mail address you use to register your secure online account, and you will be asked to select a new password when you first attempt to login.  If you do not receive your temporary password within 30 minutes, please check that it was not marked as spam and sent to your spam inbox.  You must enter the temporary password exactly as it appears in the e-mail.


Create Your Online Account then Pay Your Initial Renewal Fee or Annual Renewal Fee
1.  First you must create an online account if you have never used this system before today. 

2.  Once you are logged into your online account you need to select one of the following options:
     -  "Apply for a New License"  
     - 
"Add Licenses to Registration" if you are paying your Initial Renewal Fee.  
     -  Click your License or Registration Number if completing your annual renewal.

Please have the following information with you when you create or access your online account:

            1.  License or Registration Number.  (Applicable to only current licensees and registrants)
            2.  Social Security Number   (no dashes)
            3.  Birthdate   (in MM/DD/YYYY format)
            4.  Zip Code   (must match the zip code on file with the Board)

If any data you enter does not match the data currently in the system, you will not be able to add your license or registration to your online account and will need to contact the Board office via e-mail to verify your information. 


Frequently Asked Questions

My newly issued license is Expired.  Why?
- All newly issued licenses and registrations will be "Expired" until the Initial Renewal Fee is paid.  Once paid your status will change to "Active" and your certificate will be mailed to you.

Initial Renewal Fee vs. Annual Renewal Fee - What's the difference?
- Both fees are required in order to obtain your first license or registration.
- The Initial Renewal Fee is a separate fee from the Application Fee you have already paid.
- Once your initial renewal fee is paid your license will be mailed to you. Failure to pay within one year will cause your application to expire.

I am receiving an Error Message when I try to log on or complete my online transaction. Who do I talk to?

I forgot my online password. What do I do?
- From the online registration page click the link:  "Forgot Your Password?"  You will receive an e-mail with a temporary password.
 
I need to change my E-Mail Address.  How do I do this?

I am having problems paying online.  What do I do?
- Call the following number for assistance on paying online:  1-800-399-2969

I have questions on what is required to apply or hold a license.  Who do I talk to?

What if I don't pay my fee?

- Failure to pay fees within the required time may cause your application to expire or cancel.  Contact the Board for further instructions. 

Arrests, Criminal Convictions and Disciplinary Action - Do I need to report this? 
- All applicants and licensees are required to mail legal documents pertaining to arrests, convictions and disciplinary action within 10 days of completing your application online.
